Host Housing ~ The Encino Velodrome plans on making 2009's Far West Championships the biggest in years, and we need your help. Encino would like to offer host housing for racers coming from outside Southern California. We've all had fun meeting racers at other tracks, so here's a way to bring that fun home, and help spread the word about racing at the Encino Velodrome. As some of you may know, the Encino Velodrome is moving the Far West Championships from its traditional Labor Day Weekend dates to Memorial Day weekend for 2009.

So if you have room in your home and would like to help the Encino Velodrome, let Al Nash know by return e-mail aeniii@earthlink.net

Attn Women’s Race Teams ~ The So Cal bike racing off-season is short but it is a popular time for clinics. Now is a great time to plan a Track Cycling Clinic for your women’s team! Not only is track cycling fun but it teaches you many valuable skills that are essential for all cycling abilities and disciplines. Please contact me for more information!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ladies Only Tshirts ~ Just in time for the holidays! At the request of many of you in recent months, we are finalizing the details of a really nifty LOTS Tshirt to help celebrate the 2 year Anniversary of the LOTS Program. This fundraiser will also bring some much needed finances into the program allowing us to grow LOTS into 2009. The Tshirts will be slightly fitted and nicely feminine in a high quality fabric. Sizes will range from XS-XLg. If you go to my blog you will see the new LOTS Logo on the right hand side. This logo will be displayed on the center front of the shirts (approx 4in diam). The Tshirts will be a really pretty “buttercup” yellow.
Order yours now for just $20 including postage! Send me an email and I’ll process your order!
Please note: We had a breif delay processing the order but I’ve been notified that the shirts will be delivered to me this weekend so I can mail them out to you next week or as soon as I receive your check!
Friday Nights 6-9PM ~ Ladies, you are invited to join us thru December for Friday evening Open Training at the LA Velodrome. Friday nights at ADT are lightly attended and we provide a lightly structured workout designed to improve your track skills. If you are looking to gain confidence, develop specific track (training & racing) skills and improve your overall fitness without the intimidation of a more crowded session, then consider joining us on Friday nights at 6PM thru the end of this year.
Please note: LAVRA has announced that weekly Friday night racing will begin at ADT in January.
