LOTS of Fun Stuff for Fall

You can spend your time, waste your time, or invest your time. It's your choice.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Attn Ladies ~ Oct 7-9 ~ USA Cycling is offering a FREE CO-ED Madison camp at the ADT Event Center. Ladies, if you already know how to throw a Madison and have at least some level of competency with it, then you are invited to attend this Co-Ed Madison Camp courtesy of USA Cycling!!
This 3 day Madison camp is scheduled as follows:
Tues Oct 7 Classroom Schedule @ Holiday Inn Torrance (19800 Vermont).
8:00-10:00 am ~ Intro and Madison Exchange Technique
10:15-11:45 am ~ Paceline Dynamics
12:00-1:00 pm ~ Lunch
1:15-2:45 pm ~ Race Strategy, Tactics, and Motivation
3:00-4:30 pm ~ Madison Program Details
4:45 pm ~ Discussion regarding Wed & Thurs riding session*
4:50 pm ~ Q&A
* For those planning to attend the riding sessions at the LA Velodrome on Oct 8 and 9, please plan to arrive at 8:30am.
* Mandatory 88" gear (49x15 or 52x16)
* Please bring a spare jersey so that you and your partner can look the same for safety.
The camp is being designed as an opportunity to scout and educate riders interested in being included in the U23 program, but will be open to (MALE & FEMALE) riders 17 years and older from any category. The schedule includes a classroom-style meeting Oct. 7 at the Holiday Inn in Torrance (19800 South Vermont Ave), followed the next 2 days (Oct 8-9) with track time from 9:00 am. – 1:00 p.m. Track time will provide all camp attendees time to ride and practice Madison exchanges, but will be organized to evaluate rider’s abilities to be successful in UIV and similar races. USA Cycling will not be charging a fee for participation, but expects participants to have at least a basic understanding of the Madison and a basic ability with the Madison exchange.
Individuals interested in participating in the camp, or being considered for inclusion in the U23 program, should contact Clay Worthington at cworthington@usacycling.org, or 719-229-3768. Final camp details will be sent to expected participants and posted at the velodrome during the days before the camp.
Don’t be shy Ladies!! This camp is not just for the U23 guys!
Not only is track cycling fun but it teaches you many valuable skills that are essential for all cycling abilities and disciplines. Please contact me for more information!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sun Nov 2nd ~ The 2008 Muddy Buddy Race Series is coming to San Dimas and they need some Downright Dirty Divas! No…this is not a track cycling event but it is a fun race for the multi-sport athlete! Both team members are required to alternate biking (approx 3 mi) and running (approx 3 mi) and there is a mandatory belly crawl thru the mudpit to get to the finish line! Teams can be co-ed or not. There is even a Costume Contest for the best dressed-up team…so don’t let your Halloween Costume go to waste!!

In order to help us meet your needs and to improve the quality of the LOTS Program, I am asking all of you to complete this survey. Please & Thank you!!

Ladies Only Tshirts ~ Just in time for the holidays! At the request of many of you in recent months, we are finalizing the details of a really nifty LOTS Tshirt to help celebrate the 2 year Anniversary of the LOTS Program. This fundraiser will also bring some much needed finances into the program allowing us to grow LOTS into 2009. The Tshirts will be slightly fitted and nicely feminine in a high quality fabric. Sizes will range from XS-XLg. As soon as I have a picture and a firm price, I will post it here along with info on how you can order yours!
