Sunday June 15th ~ A note From Al Nash ~ Masters riders from SoCal who would like to practice their timed championship events at Hellyer Park Velodrome, in advance of Masters Nats should consider going to the Festival of Speed on June 15. The NorCal State Championships later in the summer are not open to riders outside of the NorCal District, so as far as I know this event is the only one of its kind during the remainder of the season (except the Velodrome Championships in mid-August) at Hellyer Park Velodrome before masters nats.

Details are available at http://www.ridethetrack.com/pdf/08_fest-speed1.pdf

Hellyer recently launched their website about Masters Track Nats.
It's at http://www.blogger.com/www.ridethetrack.com/nats

August 14-17th ~ Junior Track National Championships
Sponsorship ~ This year the LA Velodrome and Momentum Cycling will be hosting the 2008 USAC Junior Track National Championships. While plenty of work has been going on behind the scenes these past months, the race organizers are still in need of both private and corporate sponsorship. As with almost any sporting event, sponsorship money is essential!
Junior Track Nationals is a well attended event that brings together hundreds of kids (and their parents) from all across the United States. Any company that appreciates a junior aged target market will definitely want to be involved!
Please review the attached sponsor request letter. We encourage you to either print it or email it, but please pass it along to anyone you know who might be in a position to provide any amount of sponsorship!
