Bald Eagle Cams ~ I love this time of year. The racing season has started, winter is fading, spring is coming and the Bald Eagles are nesting!

Eagle Cam #1 ~ This is the third year that we have followed the annual nesting of a pair of Bald Eagles living high above the Atlantic Ocean on the coast of Maine. After the trials of last spring and this year’s long snowy winter, Mom & Dad are back at the nest preparing for the new brood. They have been busy fluffing up the nest and ‘doing the deed’. No eggs have been laid yet but it should happen any day now. No one knows what this spring holds for this Eagle family, but it sure has been fun following their story.

Eagle Cam #2 ~ This will be our second year following a pair of breeding Eagles off the coast of California near the Santa Cruz Islands. This pair has also successfully raised a chick or three in their nest located high up on the tip-top of a tall pine tree perched on the tip-top of a high cliff. (You don’t want to wander off the top of this nest!). Late winter here is much kinder to the our California eagles than the Maine winters are for the Maine family. The CA Eagles have already laid a pair of eggs and have been incubating them for about 2 weeks. They are due to hatch in early April.

It is pretty amazing to be able to see through these windows into the lives of these amazing creatures as they hunt, breed, nurture their young and live such simple lives.

Enjoy!
