All of us who are involved with the LOTS Program are excited to continue the program into 2010 as we are looking forward to another great year! In planning for the New Year, we are making some adjustments to the program that will improve and enhance what we are doing and what we are offering to the Ladies.

Each month the LOTS Program offers a “New Rider Certification Class”. Our classes have introduced literally hundreds women to the thrills of track cycling for the first time. These small group intro classes are designed to give LOTS the opportunity to provide quality 1-1 mentoring to riders who are new to the Track. Encino’s Co-ed Beginner Classes are held once monthly for a fee of $40. For 2010 the monthly LOTS Sessions will be offering our Ladies Only “New Rider Cert Classes” for a discounted fee of $30. Once you are certified you are invited to participate in any of the LOTS Sessions as well as the Keiren & Racing School Sessions. Certified riders are also welcomed to participate in all of the daily/weekly Co-ed Open Training Sessions held at the Encino Velodrome.

Please Note: Returning LOTS participants who are already certified will still pay just $10 to attend the monthly LOTS Sessions.

The quarterly “Ladies Only Track School” sessions have also been very successful. These advanced sessions will give all of the participants the skills and confidence needed to begin racing. For the low price of $50, we will spend half a day discussing exploring the in's & out's of track racing. In addition to reviewing USAC’s rule book, we will learn some of the race tactics and strategies for both individual and mass start races. Each LOTS Track School covers a different selection of racing skills and disciplines. Please join us now and jump start your preparations for the 2010 track racing season!

New 2010 LOTS Fee Schedule ~

LOTS Keiren School session fee is $5.
LOTS Session fee for returning riders is $10.
LOTS New Rider Certification Class fee is $30
LOTS Racing School 4hr Session fee $50

Please Note: All regular LOTS Sessions include a New Rider Cert Class & All LOTS Session fees include the use of a Rental Bike.

Sunday Dec 20th @ 8AM ~ Unattached Riders ~ Ladies, if you live in The OC and are not currently a member of any one of a number of local cycling clubs, please consider joining the Track & Road Racing Women of Team Sho-Air for a “meet & greet” ride on Sunday Dec 20th.

A note from Nancy Seidler:

The Velosport/Sho-Air Women’s team is sponsoring their 1st annual women’s Christmas training ride on Sunday, December 20th @ 8:00 a.m. We will be leaving the Rock and Road store in Irvine (corner of Sand Canyon & Irvine Blvd) at 8:00 am and will be riding to Seal Beach and back. Total ride should be somewhere between 50-55 miles. This is an endurance/training ride for Junior, Elite & Master Women in preparation for the 2010 track & road racing season or for those of you just wanting to get some good riding in with a great group of women. Please tell all your friends, wives, sisters, girlfriends, etc. to come out for a chance to meet some new friends and enjoy a great ride!

This is a no drop ride, but you must be comfortable riding in a pace line, either single or double and have knowledge of the basic etiquette of a peloton. This is a great opportunity for women to ride together! If we can get a good showing, we may even make the training ride a weekly event.

Also, the 2010 Team Clothing will be available purchase on Saturday & at the store after the ride. I hope all of you can come and enjoy some great time with other women riders. There will be refreshments afterwards in front of Rock and Road.

Hope to see you there.

FYI ~ My son & I are excited to be joining my 2 daughters and their teammates in 2010 when we will all represent and race for Team Sho-Air.

LOTS of Sponsors ~ All of us appreciate the roll that financial and equipment sponsors play in the sport of cycling. Without their support, most of what we do would be impossible!!

The LOTS program appreciates the support and sponsorship of the following companies:
Itty Bitty Bra Co. ~ Holiday Sale 2009, save up to 40% on selected items during our Holiday Blow Out Sale. Quantities are limited so shop now for best selection! Itty Bitty Bra’s are the right choice for those of us whom nature 'blessed' with less than a 'C' cup size bust and are underserved by today's bra choices. According to Jane Alden Hodgdon, IBB Designs president and CEO, these women need a bra that not only provides support, but also is stylish and comfortable. The Itty Bitty Bra® does all of that and more for the AA-B cup women.Serfas & Serfas Optics ~ For all of your equipment and optical needs, please visit their websites. Headquartered in South Orange County, Serfas is proud to be our neighbor! If any of the LOTS participants would like to purchase items from Serfas, please email me and I will send you the info that you need.

Clif Bar ~ Food matters. We like food. Natural and organic foods aren’t just good for your body; they're good for the planet. Please visit their website for a complete review of all their products. Clif Bar is proud to provide the LOTS participants with their products. Look for them at the races in 2009!

Louis Garneau ~ Known for their Aero Helmets on the road and on the track, Louis Garneau has generously provided LOTS with a supply of Aero Helmets. Please email me for more information or see me at the races!

Please take the time to thank these sponsors for their generosity!
