What a great time we all had at the LA Velodrome last night!! I trust that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the first ever Elite track Omnium event! One National Chanpionship title is awared to the winner of this "pentathalon" track event which includes ~ the Flying 200, 5k Scratch race, 2k Individual Pursuit, 10k Points race and 500m TT (for the women).
HUGE Congratulations to Cari Higgins for winning this event!! Congratulations to all the women who raced. This single event showcases well rounded athletes who are great at both sprint and endurance events.
The Schedule of Women's events for the remainder of the week include ~
Thursday Oct 1 @ 4pm ~ Today's Track Natz events for the women include the W500m TT, the W Team Pursuit final & the W Scratch race.
Friday Oct 2 @4pm ~ look for the W Individual Pursuit & W Keiren
Saturday Oct 3 @ 4pm ~ WSprints & W Points Race
Sunday Oct 4 @ 12Noon ~ W Team Sprint & W Madison (!!!) I am personally very anxious for the first ever USAC National Championship Women's Madison!! It will be an exciting event!!
