LOTS is getting out into the community to meet and greet the Ladies! A huge “Thank you” to the staff at Two Wheels One Planet bike shop in Costa Mesa, CA for hosting their first “Ladies Night” last week. We had a full audience and there was plenty of food and drinks to go around. While guests were ‘meeting and greeting’, I had some great Madison DVDs playing on the front counter (many thanks to Al Nash). The videos attracted the attention of all the guests as most of them had never seen anything like it! Once the audience was seated I opened the evening by introducing everyone to the LOTS program and to the exciting sport of track cycling. After a brief slide show Perry Kramer of Giant Bicycles was introduced to the audience. Perry gave us an overview of Giant for Women’s website & product line before welcoming guest speaker Tara Llanas. Tara is an amazing lady who survived a life-changing mountain bike injury a year and a half ago while training for the Beijing Olympics. Her story can be found on her website. The evening ended with more Madison videos, time for Q&A’s , autographs (not mine!) and a raffle.

If your favorite bike shop or bike club is interested in hosting a Ladies Night, and you’d like LOTS to be part of the presentation, please send me an email so we can schedule the date!
